The noble King Richard the Lionheart has left England to lead a crusade to the Holy Land, leaving the poorest of his subjects at the mercy of his treacherous brother, Prince John. After his father is killed by Prince John's henchman, Robin Hood gathers a band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest to defend against his villainous reign.
