Prof. Dr. İnan Kural, the head of internal medicine at the hospital he works at, is known for his aloofness with patients and his hard, impenetrable demeanor. His life is upended when the grieving relative of a patient—who lost his child due to another doctor’s mistake in İnan’s department—shoots him in the head. Though he survives, İnan wakes to discover that he has lost the last twelve years of his memory and struggles to believe what he’s told. He thinks his son, who had died of heart failure, is still alive, and that he is still happily married to his wife Aylin, who also works at the hospital. In reality, his son is gone, his marriage has ended, Aylin has remarried, and İnan himself has been in a passionate relationship with fellow physician Elif. As Elif grapples with being forgotten by the man she loves and Aylin is shaken by seeing traces of the affectionate İnan she once knew, İnan also remains unaware that before the shooting he had discovered the doctor responsible for the fatal mistake—and had hidden the evidence in a secret compartment of his bag. Now, returning to the internal medicine ward as a patient in hopes of aiding his recovery, İnan must fight to regain his memories while also striving to hold on to his career.
