A cynical, alcoholic doctor plagued by sciatica, desperate to keep his job, recruits a young delivery driver to take over his nighttime house calls. Using an earpiece, he directs the driver from afar. Through a series of mix-ups and humorous moments, they begin to develop a mutual respect. This story is a remake of the French comedy "Call a Doctor!"
