When a New York City police lieutenant shoots a Hispanic drug dealer, the case is given to an Assistant District Attorney. His boss says it's justifiable homicide, but he can't ignore the growing evidence pointing to murder and an old boys' network based on ethnic loyalties.
Q & A
When NYPD detective Mike Brennan shoots an unarmed Hispanic drug dealer, he plants a gun on the man and arranges for people to perjure themselves, providing faked "eyewitness" testimony. Assistant D.A. Al Reilly is assigned to the case. Though he expected an open-and-shut case, he quickly becomes convinced of Brennan's guilt during a question-and-answer session with the corrupt cop. In the course of Reilly's investigations, he uncovers a trail of corruption leading straight to his boss' office. Things get worse when he discovers that his former girlfriend is now dating Bobby Texador, a Puerto Rican drug dealer who is also Reilly's chief witness.
