Christmas is approaching and clumsy Paolo is joining his nine-month's pregnant wife and in-laws as guests at a castle in the mountains. When a blizzard breaks out, a series of troubles will ensue for him, his in-laws, and the castle guests – definitely the worst Christmas of his life!

Paolo has managed to marry Margherita and they are now expecting a child for the Christmas holidays, which they plan to spend with their family in a castle on the slopes of Monte Rosa. While Paolo lingers on the road, delayed by an errand and a slip in the snow, Margherita precedes him to their destination with her parents, Giorgio and Clara. At the castle, Alberto, Giorgio's boss, who has survived an illness and is determined to hand over the reins of the company to his loyal and reliable employee, joyfully welcomes them. Giorgio asks Paolo not to jeopardize his career, but this will not curb the recklessness of his son-in-law, who will ruin the Christmas Eve turkey, kill a parakeet, announce the death of a living person, and set fire to the castle after flooding it.
