Troublesome Night is a black comedy composed of four interconnected ghost stories.
In the first story, four boys and three girls go camping. During the night, Ken suggests they visit a nearby cemetery to copy the information on the tombstone, but they come across a tomb that’s meant for one of them.
In the second story, three youngsters go to a cemetery to pay respect. As Jojo is wearing red undergarments, a color that attracts ghosts. As a result, Jojo is possessed.
In the third story, To Ka-ming is killed in a mudslide when he drives Ann home. Thirty minutes after the accident, his wife Christy receives a phone call from him.
In the fourth story, Ng Tai-hung and May go to a cinema, but they unknowingly sit at the seats reserved for the ghosts. Strange things then start to happen.
