Julien feels like there is a hostile presence behind him all the time. His son Alex learns that Eva, a 17-year-old high school student, forgot to tell him that he was going to be a father. Eva’s mother, Vero, who has been in a bad way since her birth, thinks she will have to steal handbags from old women to feed the future child. Elizabeth, whose husband Bertrand has disappeared, sees her house devastated by the police’s search. Lucie, exasperated by the paranoid delusions of her husband Julien, is very close to martial burnout. Serena, Julien’s mistress, senses that he is lying to her. Julien does not sense that Serena is lying to him, too. Loic, Vero’s eldest son and the only stable member of the group, is not so stable after all. Not to mention an absent person who is still very much present.
