Dive into the unknown story that would define Hollywood star Cary Grant’s life, beginning with a troubled childhood in Bristol, where he was once known as Archie Leach.
Archie
It is 1962, and Hollywood movie star Cary Grant is at the height of his global fame, but despite his success, Cary is facing problems in his personal life following a damaging third divorce. Struggling to deal with his loneliness, Cary discovers blonde bombshell Dyan Cannon and decides to pursue her, but his tortured childhood and the ghosts of his past continue to haunt him. Before Cary Grant, there was Archie Leach, a young boy who grew up in poverty in Bristol, England, in the early 1900s. Fit and athletic, Archie manages to earn himself a slot performing with the Bob Pender Troupe, with whom he travels to New York to play engagements on the vaudeville circuit. Once there, he refuses to come home and decides to head to Hollywood, where his good looks gain him attention and, eventually, a new name: Cary Grant.
