What’s the plot of High Potential?

When janitor Morgan Gillory (Kaitlin Olson) stumbles across an LAPD case file, she uses her extraordinary ability to spot often-missed clues to solve it. Surprised and impressed, the LAPD brings her on as a consultant, pairing her with detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata). This partnership between by-the-book detective and offbeat genius makes for comedic friction as the pair tackle Los Angeles’ toughest mysteries.

Adapted from the French series HPI (Haut Potentiel Intellectuel), the US version folds Morgan’s home life into the weekly whodunits.

Season 2 raises the stakes when an elusive foe called the Game Maker targets Morgan’s loved ones. Meanwhile, colleagues Daphne and Oz branch out to hunt for Morgan’s missing husband, Roman. Newcomer Captain Nick Wagner, played by Steve Howey, works to keep the team in sync while Morgan shares new truths with her teenage daughter.
