The Vikings are generally strong, fearless and rather loud folk, but Wickie is very different. He's a coy and sensitive soul, much to the displeasure of his father, the Viking chief Halvar. One day a marauding horde of warriors ransack Wickie's village, Flake, abducting all the children, except for Wickie…

Wickie und die Starken Männer

Wickie, the lovely little boy with the strawberry blonde hair, lives at home with his mother Ylva and his father Halvar, the most stubborn Viking chief of all time, in the Viking village of Flake. The Vikings are generally strong, fearless and rather loud folk, but Wickie is very different. He's a coy and sensitive soul, but he does possess a gift that few of his fellow Vikings do: he's smart, not to say super-smart. Wickie chooses brain over brawn and he's constantly coming up with brilliant ideas. One day, the village is mercilessly ransacked by a marauding horde of warriors wearing frightening dragon masks. They steal the villagers' most precious treasures: their children! All except for Wickie, who – a blessing in disguise – got stuck up a tree while flying his kite. Wickie's father Halvar and the other Vikings from Flake hoist the sails and embark on a thrilling adventure on the high seas as they attempt to free the children. But what about Wickie? Once again he's left to come up with clever ideas to rescue his friends from certain disaster.
