They come to appreciate a vastly different way of life and philosophy. Incidentally, they are embroiled in the visit of the Japanese crown prince, the Chiang Wei-shui resistance and other crucial events in history. They also meet Ms. Ginger, an enigmatic seamstress with a fierce personality, and Rose, a ravishing top geisha.
