Safiyé aims to become the Sultan's favorite and the mother of one of his children. While putting forward their agenda, Safiyé and Nadir feel a mutual attraction that becomes a love story, both intellectual and physical, which overcomes the barriers of what is forbidden for her, the Sultan’s concubine, and what is impossible for him, an emasculated man.
