Lam Ting-kwok, Tang Kar-yung, and Wai Chui are living in poverty. Kar-yung is addicted to gambling, while Wai Chui is a prostitute. Kar-yung gets caught red-handed in making mischief. He is harshly punished and forced to make compensation. With the idea inspired by their friend, Ying-hung, they decide to rob Chu Lo-tai, Ying-hung's boss. Their target is his embargoed gold. The attempted robbery fails, and they are pursued. To set Wai Chui free, Ting-kwok makes himself a hostage.
