Lee Sang-hyeon’s daughter Lee Su-jin has been raped and murdered. One day, Sang-hyeon receives a mysterious text, giving him clues to the murder of his daughter. After killing one of the murderers in a fit of rage, Sang-hyeon begins his hunt for the other accomplice. Meanwhile, the detective investigating the murder case of Lee Su-jin, Jang Eok-gwan sets out to apprehend Sang-hyeon.

The film is an adaption of the novel of the same name by Keigo Higashino. Lee Sang-hyeon (Jung Jae-young) could never have imagined that he would have to identify the cold body of his lovely daughter Lee Su-jin (Lee Soo-bin) in the morgue. The inhuman rape and murder of his daughter however is an irreversible fact, and the widowed father can hardly bear to continue living on. One day, the despaired Sang-hyeon receives a mysterious text, giving him clues to the murder of his daughter. As he watches the video of his daughter being raped, he kills one of the murderers in a fit of rage. This is however just the beginning of his hunt for the other accomplice who is still at large. The death of the young criminal catches the attention of the police, and the detective investigating the murder case of Lee Su-jin, Jang Eok-gwan (Lee Sung-min), sets out on his trail to apprehend Sang-hyeon.
