Transcending Waves: A South Atlantic Expedition
The 'Gauchos del Mar' brothers explore the Malvinas Islands, a 700-hundred-island archipelago, aiming at uniting and constructing bridges by surfing the oceans. Following the 1982 war, the islands have become a very sensitive topic in the Southern Hemisphere. This project hopes to strengthen peace and start building a relationship between the islands dwellers and Argentineans after more than 35 years of separation and distrust. They find two local brothers who also like to surf and were born after the conflict as well. They want to share some waves with them and make new friends as they usually do in their adventures, but the conflict seems to have prevailed through generations. Their 50-day expedition takes them to explore the islands' culture while searching for surfing waves. They will explore uninhabited islands facing adverse weather and will be surprised at the natural beauties that surround the coastline, its landscapes, and the local fauna.
