Tre uomini e una gamba

“So, you’re getting married tomorrow?” “Yeah, but it’s nothing serious!” The comic trio makes its feature film debut in this funny and smart road movie filled with improbable situations and enjoyable gags. Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo are three friends and colleagues who work in a hardware store in Milan. They go on a road trip to Gallipoli to the wedding of one of them, Giacomo, who is getting married to his boss’s daughter (Aldo and Giovanni are married to two sisters, and Giacomo is engaged to the third). En route to the wedding, the three friends must bring their greedy and overbearing boss a work of modern art - a valuable wooden leg – and his beloved pet pooch. During the journey everything happens: they inadvertently kill the dog, which they try to replace with a mutt; a minor collision forces them to pick up a woman named Chiara, and the future groom immediately falls for her; and finally the precious leg slips in and out of their hands and is lost to a group of soccer-crazy Moroccans who give it back after a vigorous soccer match. Their father-in-law then gets angrier and angrier by their delayed arrival and when they get in front of his villa, they realize how petty their lives are and recognize the importance of freedom. The film includes parody sequences satirizing gangster movies, Italian Neo-realism and a Gothic vampire tale with Count Dracula.
