Konferenz der Tiere
The animals in the African savannah are all wondering what happened to the water. It should have streamed down from the distant mountains and flooded the valley a long time ago. Their intensifying thirst is now getting critical, especially as the last remaining waterhole is guarded by fierce buffalos and rhinos. Courageous meerkat Billy and his best buddy, the peaceful lion Socrates, set out in search of water. Billy wants to prove to his son Junior that he's more than just the dozy backcountry neurotic everyone makes him out to be, and that his son can be proud of him. On their way, they meet Gallic rooster Charles, who has led a lady polar bear, a kangaroo, a Tasmanian devil and two Galapagos turtles to Africa. They have all fled destruction in their faraway homelands and come to the Okavango Delta in the hope of a better future. But this last remaining natural refuge is unfortunately also under threat from human intrusion. Hotel manager Mr Smith has built a huge dam to collect water for his luxury resort which, ironically, is hosting a conference where world leaders have convened to discuss how to save the environment. The animals rise to the challenge and organise a conference of their own. The wise elephant cow Angie calls on all creatures large and small to run, fly and crawl to their defence – and there begins a wild, action-packed animal adventure full of guile and wile.
