In an operation, his reckless action causes the death of his colleague. He subsequently banishes himself from the force.
Upon his return, he teams up with fellow police officers, Jim and Jackie, in an operation to catch the mysterious criminal mastermind known as the Boss. As they start unravelling the criminal nexus of the Boss, they find out even high-ranking police officers might be compromised. As Jim tries to keep them on the right side of the law, Yu Chau is pushed to the abyss where he must take the lay into his own hands…
