Frank and his fiancée Zoe lead a group of researchers who are able to bring a recently deceased animal back to life using their “Lazarus” serum. Just as they’re about to reveal their breakthrough to the world, the dean of their university shuts them down. Frank pushes them to undertake another experiment, but it goes horribly wrong — forcing the team to try the serum on one of their own.
The Lazarus Effect
A group of researchers are able to bring a recently deceased animal back to life using their “Lazarus” serum. Led by Frank and his fiancée Zoe, the team prepares to reveal their breakthrough to the world, only to be shut down after the dean of their university learns about their underground experiments. They decide to persist and recreate their experiment, but it goes horribly wrong — Zoe is killed. Grief-stricken, Frank pushes the team to use the serum to resurrect Zoe. Although it initially appears that their first human trial was a success, Frank and the rest of the team quickly learn that Zoe didn’t come back as the same person.
