Haunted by a diving accident that left his friend disabled, diver Rick Symons is reassigned to the 40th Search and Rescue squadron. There, he must work with a quirky crew, including a female medic with whom he has already clashed. He must now confront the past he feels he abandoned, both in the water and on land.
