The barbecue is a meal and a ritual. It is primitive and contemporary, savage and refined, art and science. For the first time, a movie confronts this Argentinian tradition that is almost sacred, with a philosofical and incorrect vision.

Todo sobre el asado

For three years, Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn traveled the country asking about barbecue. The result is a culinary movie that is presented by Negro Álvarez and that invites the viewer to know more about this ritual. A central phenomenon of Argentinian culture, the barbecue is part of the national identity, being almost considered an affair of State. However, there is no movie that thoroughly investigates what happens around this emblematic beef cut called "tira de asado". With an acidic and sarcastic tone, "Todo Sobre el Asado" goes through and demolishes the myths of the most popular of national rites, and without any reservations, exposes the great narcissistic wound: the barbecue isn't Argentinian.
