Considered the best of the many Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy features filmed at Twentieth Century Fox, Jitterbugs finds the legendary comic duo fronting the traveling Laurel and Hardy Zoot Suit Band. In their travels, they hook up with likeable confidence man Chester Wright. The three quickly find themselves taking a young woman, Susan, under their wing when she relates how she and her mother have been scammed out of their savings by the dastardly Bennett. The three men come up with an elaborate “sting” to get Susan’s money back and exact some much-needed comeuppance for the evil Bennett.
