Elvis Presley gives an indelible performance as Pacer Burton, a half-Native, half white youth torn between his two cultures in the untamed American West. When violence erupts in the form of a series of brutal Kiowa raids, the white settlers respond with a fierce rebuttal. And although at first Pacer attempts to act as a peacemaker, he is ultimately pulled into the deadly violence.
