The Couple Next Door

When Evie and Pete move into an upmarket neighborhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety, but they also find new friends in the shape of the couple next door, traffic cop Danny and his glamourous wife, yoga influencer Becka. Danny confronts a dark secret from his past and quickly ends up in over his head when he moonlights from his day job to raise some much-needed cash. Devastated by a late-term miscarriage, Evie finds herself transformed by grief, becoming uncharacteristically reckless and turning her back on her deeply religious family. Meanwhile, Pete investigates the dodgy dealings of a powerful local businessman, unaware that the biggest scoop of his career could put one of his new neighbors’ lives in danger. Through it all, Becka’s every move is being watched by creepy local voyeur, Alan. The two couples grow ever closer, and before they know it, their bodies and their emotions are tangled up in a complex web which culminates in a huge sexual betrayal. All four of them descend in a dizzying spiral that leads to an act of violent revenge.
