Casey Ryback is taking his niece on a vacation when Travis Dane and a group of terrorists takes the train hostage, and uses it as a command center in his effort to take control of a top-secret, government super-weapon.

Casey Ryback is retired from the Navy and now chefs at the Mile High Cafe in Denver, Colorado. After the death of his brother, Ryback decides to take his niece Sarah Ryback on a train trip to L.A. Travis Dane and a group of terrorists choose the very same train to use as a control center in order to take control of Grazer, a top-secret government high tech satellite super-weapon in outer space. Dane, the builder of the weapon, was fired by the government before the satellite deployment. Now backed by a Middle Eastern terrorist group, Dane plans to use the satellite to blow up the Eastern seaboard by targeting a nuclear reactor located underneath the Pentagon. Military and government officials can't stop him because they can't locate his headquarters and as long as the train keeps moving, he can’t be found. There is only one person who can stop the devastation --- Ryback --- if he can get word to the outside world as to the location, and if he can get to Dane before it’s too late.
