Each chef is assigned an element -- earth, air, fire, water, or space -- and must craft a large-format dessert with a decorative sugar element.
S1:E8 The Deep Freeze
The remaining four chefs create arctic-themed cakes with a frozen layer. The bottom two chefs battle in a sudden-death round for a spot in the finale.

The final three chefs create vibrant theatrical dessert displays to win $50,000 and be crowned the Ultimate Baking Champion.
