She is forced into an arranged marriage with Kiyoka, a young soldier said to be ruthless. Infamously, all of his potential fiancées have run away from him in less than three days. Prepared for rejection, Miyo pays a visit to the Kudou home and comes face to face with the pale yet dashing Kiyoka. Though he treats her harshly during their first meeting, Miyo cannot go back to her family home, so she has no choice but to stay. As she cooks for him every day, they gradually grow closer.
