This romantic comedy chronicles the life of Mi-rae, who has always believed that her life would be better if she were born more beautiful. After she goes under the knife, she comes out looking like the beautiful woman she has always dreamed of becoming. She feels ready to take on the world for the first time, and she falls madly in love with Seok, the perfect man. Except Seok hates people who get plastic surgery. And there’s another girl vying for his attention, Sua, and she’s a natural beauty.
ID: Plastic Beauty> depicts how a society that measures women by their looks ultimately sets up all women to fail, whether plain or beautiful. Those who are plain feel that they are never good enough for anything, while those who are beautiful can only define themselves as beautiful and nothing else.
