An ordinary family has to face a catastrophe, the serious illness of one of its children, which shatters the lives of every one of its members. Anne, the matriarch, a best-selling author of self-help books, is confronted by her publisher and lover accused of harassment. Pascal, Anne's husband, who she has been neglecting for years. Their daughter Claire is deeply disturbed by her niece's illness, and dealing with her partner's daughter and ex-wife. Marion, struggles to cope with her marriage, her daughter's illness, and her attraction to Louis, whom she met at the hospital. Vincent, Claire and Marion's younger brother, is an attractive steward who used to enjoy an easy life. As Rose undergoes a bone marrow transplant, life continues with its daily problems, but not without hope and humor.
