Their daughter Tessa has replaced her partner Emma with a Swedish fitness trainer, while their son Samuel is on the verge of a divorce due to a gluten-allergic dog. Grandson Petter is desperately trying to propose to the most beautiful girl in school—in Hebrew—and their neighbor Nils is at death’s door. Annemor and Frank must navigate between small and large catastrophes to keep their family together, but just as the Christmas calm finally descends, an old secret comes to the surface.
