The Stolen Girl

Elisa Blix, an air hostess on private jets and busy mom of two, allows her nine-year-old daughter, Lucia, to go on a playdate with her new best friend Josephine. Elisa briefly meets with Josephine’s warm and friendly mother, Rebecca, and the playdate evolves into a sleepover. But when Elisa and her husband Fred arrive to collect Lucia the next day, their worst fears are realised. The house is an empty luxury rental and Lucia has vanished, along with Rebecca and Josephine. The police say everything Rebecca told Elisa may have been lies. As events escalate into an international manhunt for Lucia, pursued doggedly by Selma, an ambitious and determined investigative journalist following the story, long-buried secrets come to light that may hold the key to Lucia’s seemingly motiveless abduction.
