The story follows the lives of nine children in the Zhonghua shopping mall. A mysterious magician on a skywalk ties ten seemingly unrelated short stories together. Recalling the Chinese shopping mall culture in the 1980s, each character seeks redemption in their reality with help of memories of the past.
