A desperate teenager snatches a rich woman's handbag, but in a bizarre twist of fate discovers her life is not as rosy as it seems and that they have more in common than he realizes.

Margaret is a wealthy wife and mother from Chelsea who appears to have everything. Eddie is a desperate teenager from the other side of the tracks who assumes that everyone with money has it easy. So when he sees Margaret passing by, he seizes the opportunity and mugs her. As he flees with her designer handbag, Margaret gives chase and there is a car accident. Eddie and Margaret’s worlds are suddenly intertwined and Eddie discovers Margaret’s life is deeply troubled and a disturbing reflection of his own traumatic childhood.
