Nigel is an elderly man living as a recluse, haunted by his past and the memory of the family he once had. One day, an unexpected visitor arrives and disrupts his lonely routine.

Nigel grows old and isolated in front of his TV. One day, a group of kids outside disturb his peace and quiet. He scares them away and, unknowingly, saves the life of... an adorable little robot. The unexpected visitor proves to be useful around the house and gradually wins Nigel's trust. It learns that this man was not always alone: he used to have a family.
