When Police Captain Tess Borski and her family returned to the north of France where she spent her childhood, she believed the bowels of the Earth had closed on the tragedy that devastated the working class at the time. Soon after, Captain Borski and François Dubois, the Police Chief in charge of the investigation squad, face a series of strange crimes that slowly awaken the painful past.
