What is Banana Ball?
Banana Ball is a 2-hour, rule-breaking spin on baseball: bunts are illegal, fans can turn foul balls into outs, and batters can sprint on ball four, all while players break into dances and run trick plays between pitches. The format first took root at tiny Grayson Stadium in Savannah, Georgia back in 2016, but it exploded online. Hundreds of millions of TikTok and YouTube views turned the Bananas into a viral sensation, fueling sellouts, an ESPN+ Bananaland docuseries, and a coast-to-coast tour that now lands in MLB and NFL venues.

The Banana Ball League has expanded to six teams for 2026. You’ll see them play the Party Animals, Firefighters, Texas Tailgaters, and two new additions, the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns throughout the season.
