Things are heating up in the animated franchise’s sixth big-screen story. Ice Age: Boiling Point is slated to hit  theaters on February 5, 2027.

When will Ice Age: Boiling Point be released in theaters?

The movie opens exclusively in theaters on February 5, 2027. The official title and release date were revealed at Destination D23.

What is Ice Age: Boiling Point about?

The newest adventure takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat, and the rest of the Herd into never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World. For now, the rest of the plot and character details are staying frozen in place.

Fans will recognize the Lost World as the underground dinosaur setting introduced in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and revisited in The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild.

Who are the cast and characters in Ice Age: Boiling Point?

The sixth movie brings back some of the franchise’s most familiar voices, with more cast news still to come.

Ray Romano as Manny

Romano returns as Manny, the woolly mammoth who has been part of the Herd since the original Ice Age, a nostalgic favorite from the early 00s.

John Leguizamo as Sid

Leguizamo is back as Sid, the wisecracking sloth who first joined Manny and Diego on their journey in the original movie. He provides many of the Herd’s comedic moments.

Denis Leary as Diego

Leary returns as Diego, the saber-toothed tiger who joined Manny and Sid in the original Ice Age and remains a loyal member of the Herd.

Queen Latifah as Ellie

Queen Latifah is back as Ellie the woolly mammoth. She’s Manny’s partner, Crash and Eddie’s sister, and mom to Peaches.

Simon Pegg as Buck

Pegg returns as Buck, the one-eyed, adventure-seeking weasel whose dinosaur experience means he’s right at home in the Lost World.

Who is directing Ice Age: Boiling Point?

John C. Donkin serves as director, with Lori Forte producing.

Donkin previously directed The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, which followed Buck, Crash, and Eddie into the Lost World, making them very familiar with Ice Age: Boiling Point’s setting.

Is Ice Age: Boiling Point available to stream on Disney+?
