Season 1 premiered in December 2023 and centers around the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief, which focuses on universal themes like belonging, finding purpose, friendship, and loyalty.

We met Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), a troubled boy from New York City who discovered he’s the son of Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea. After he was accused of stealing Zeus’ lightning bolt, Percy embarked on a cross-country quest to prove his innocence, alongside his reluctant companion, Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) and best friend, Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri). Between battling Gods and slaying monsters, the Oracle of Delphi’s prophecy left Percy wondering if he would be betrayed by Grover or Annabeth. In the end, it was revealed that Luke Castellan (Charlie Bushnell), son of Hermes (Lin Manuel Miranda), was the lightning thief who conspired with the Titan King, Kronos (Nick Borraine), to topple Olympus. The end left Percy comfortable with his relationships and role at Camp Half-Blood before he headed home for the school year.
