Who votes for the Actor Award winners?
Nominees are first picked by randomly selected SAG-AFTRA nominating panels, with winners voted for by eligible SAG-AFTRA members. The Life Achievement Award is selected by SAG-AFTRA’s National Honors and Tributes Committee.
How does someone become a member of SAG-AFTRA to be able to vote on the Actor Awards?
Any performer that has been employed under SAG-AFTRA, SAG, or AFTRA or is a member of an affiliated performer’s union is eligible for SAG-AFTRA membership. All active members as of December 2025 will be eligible to vote for the 2026 Actor Awards.
