After much consideration, Carl Sievers rents a small house on Sylt, but just before moving in, his new landlord is murdered. The victim, Jens Hansen, a pilot with a local airline, seems to be the target of a simple robbery. However, it soon becomes evident that Hansen's seemingly respectable life had underlying cracks.
