Patience

Patience is a six-part police crime drama set in the beautiful city of York. Patience Evans works in the Criminal Records Office and has unusual powers of detection due to being autistic. Through the unique insight she brings to cases, she helps the police to tackle a series of tricky crimes. Patience’s ordered and structured world is turned inside out when she meets Detective Bea Metcalf, who recognizes her ability for making unique connections in cases. Detective Bea wants to recruit her to her team. As she gets to know Patience, however, she realizes how much is at stake for this young woman who views the world differently. Patience seeks advice from her Autistic Adults support group who meet regularly to discuss how to operate in a neurotypical world. As Detective Bea becomes her friend and mentor, the two women will benefit from the relationship in unexpected ways.
