A crime story with a peculiar trio of investigators: a boss who everyone thinks is insane, a brash young colleague who is just as committed to chasing women as he is murderers, and a young policewoman who is considered completely talentless and has therefore yet to realize that she actually has some skills.
München Mord – Wir sind die Neuen
Ludwig Schaller used to be the head of Munich's homicide department before his unconventional investigative methods became his undoing: in one of his last cases, he had delved so deeply into the perpetrator's psyche that his own colleagues became afraid of him. Some have since described him as mentally ill. He was removed from office. A former colleague, the opportunistic Helmut Zangel, is now the new chief. He enjoys keeping Schaller in his "old age". The two men hate each other. Deported to an ugly office, Schaller is supposed to process files and close old cases. As a special humiliation, Schaller is assigned two co-workers who are also on the professional side-lines; they, too, are outsiders no one else wants to work with: the young inspector Angelika Flierl has little self-confidence. She owes her career to the fact that she is the chief of police's niece. She would love to quit the police force and become a singer.
