“Nothing Gold Can Stay” is based on the legendary true story of Zhou Ying and the Wu family of Anwu Town, in Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province. Zhou Ying, a witty and fun street performer, accidentally gets married with Wu Pin, the young master of the prominent Wu family.
Unfortunately, Wu Pin dies shortly after they marry, and the widowed Zhou Ying becomes embroiled in all sorts of intrigues and conflicts within the Wu family. In spite of her emotional turmoil and family strife, Zhou Ying relies solely on her willpower and acumen and manages to master the art of business. She singlehandedly leads the collapsed business of the Wu family through the cutthroat business world and corrupt politics, not only bringing the Wu family back to glory, but also turning it into a business empire.
