Gannibal Season 1 Characters and Relationship Chart
The Agawa family
Police officer Daigo Agawa (Yuya Yagira), his wife Yuki Agawa (Riho Yoshioka) and their daughter Mashiro are assigned to the mountain village of Kuge. Daigo Agawa has a tendency to cross the line and has a dangerous and insane side, but he works hard to protect his family. Yuki is a kind wife and mother, but is also strong-willed and a reliable presence for her family. Their daughter, Mashiro, however, is unable to speak after a traumatic incident.
The suspicious disappearance of Daigo’s predecessor sparks an uneasy atmosphere in the village, and he gradually becomes aware of the existence of a ‘certain rumour’ that has taken root. The entire family becomes entangled in the mystery of Kuge.
Keisuke Goto
Keisuke Goto (Show Kasamatsu) is the next head of the Goto family that rules the village of Kuge. He’s a very calm, collected man who faithfully follows the village rules — rules that have been passed down for generations. But he becomes dangerous once enraged; there’s no telling what he might do to protect his family. As the head of the Gotos, he values the prosperity of his family deeply, but harbours doubts about the village customs.
The Goto Clan
The Goto clan, who have held powerful sway over the village for generations, hold a strange presence that is feared by the villagers, so much so that the people of Kuge village warn that they’re a family ‘you’re best off having nothing to do with’.
On the surface, they’re trusted figures, but behind that facade, it’s clear they’re hiding something, including Keisuke, the successor to the family, and his younger brother Yosuke. Chief among them is the Goto family’s grandmother, Gin, who holds the village’s rules and traditions in high esteem and looks down on outsiders.
“That Person”
Daigo soon comes into contact with a taboo the villagers are reluctant to talk about. He learns of ‘That Person’ (Kazuki Sawai), a strange presence that lives deep within the recesses of the Goto clan. This is not just an urban legend, but part of a terrifying truth that involves the entire village.
