What's the plot of Predator: Badlands?
Predator: Badlands pushes the franchise into a new space, and we’re here for it. Set on a distant and deadly planet, Genna, the story follows Dek, a young Yautja (Predator) who’s been cast out by his clan. On his first hunt, he encounters a Weyland-Yutani synthetic named Thia. Together they form an unexpected alliance and embark on a dangerous journey to confront their most formidable opponent yet. Their unlikely bond is what sets this instalment apart, in a story where the line between hunter and hunted blurs like never before. While the film promises the same action we’ve grown to love, it also brings forward tests of survival, trust, and honour.
When did Predator: Badlands arrive on Disney+?
Predator: Badlands is now streaming, as of February 12.
Who are the characters in Predator: Badlands?
Dek, a Yautja who finds himself outcast from his infamously brutal clan and must face the ultimate adversary in order to make his way back in. Thia, a synth who forms an unlikely partnership with Dek and may be his only key to surviving a treacherous journey.
Who’s in the Predator: Badlands cast and behind the camera?
Elle Fanning stars as Thia, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi is Dek, and Mike Homik takes on the role of Kwei. Dan Trachtenberg, director of the previous entry, Prey, returns to direct this new installment.
How does Predator: Badlands connect to Prey and the classic films?
While Predator: Badlands introduces new characters and settings, it stays rooted in the franchise’s core themes: survival, tradition, and the hunter’s code. Chronologically, it’s set in the far future after the events of The Predator and Prey and expands on the mythology, exploring what happens when one of their own becomes the hunted.
