Deep in the Lapland wilderness, Aatami Korpi searches for gold. From time to time, bomber planes fly overhead and distant sounds of war can be heard through the crisp autumn nights. At last, his heavy labor is rewarded as the gold dust in his pan grows into gold nuggets. Aatami sets off to take his gold treasure to the nearest town. When a thirty-strong Nazi death squad, led by SS Obersturmführer Bruno Helldorf, comes rumbling towards him, a breathtaking and gold-hungry chase begins through the destroyed and mined Lapland wilderness.
