During the initial outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, three interconnected stories of three different women simultaneously unfold in three different cities across China. In Wuhan, a family is divided and tested as all family members fall terminally ill. In Beijing, young lovers desperately want to be reunited while one of them deteriorates in isolation. And in Hong Kong, a struggling couple of husband and wife are put to the ultimate test as the virus challenges their obsession with their careers, and ultimately their dedication to each other. The three stories are connected via a common crisis, each of which presents common human feelings of love, faith, courage and strength.
