A huge tsunami swallows Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, causing a station blackout and hydrogen explosions. If the power plant were to be abandoned, the entire country of Japan would be destroyed. Confronted with this life-or-death scenario, workers, who remain on the site of the nuclear power plant to fight for their hometown and their families, become known as the “Fukushima 50.”
