The year is 1923, June. Blonde-haired, blue-eyed, young Tanya Degurechaff is assigned her last operation for the Imperial Army Academy. The year is 1923, June. Blonde-haired, blue-eyed, young Tanya Degurechaff is assigned her last operation for the Imperial Army Academy at the Nordic War District's Norden battle zone. The first step toward her brimming career as an Air Mage should have gone as planned. However, the situation takes an unexpected turn as the Empire and the Entente Alliance wage war over a border invasion. Following the transition to a state of war, Tanya has appointed a recon for ground troops. However, a sudden assault by the Alliance's army means that Tanya must hold the front line by herself while waiting for reinforcements to arrive.
She is faced with a choice: Either accept the suicide mission or abandon the order and face the death penalty.
Tanya executes a plan that, if all goes well, will enable her to survive while exempting her from punishment.
