The Great Magician

In 1916, General Yuan Shi-kai has just died. The warlords in China vie for power and the Japanese are encroaching. A mysterious magician, Zhang Xian, catches the eye of local warlord, Bully Lei, who hopes to use him to win the affections of Liu Yin, a woman whom he has forced into being his seventh concubine. Unbeknownst to him, Zhang Xian is Liu Yu’s fiancé. Zhang Xian is hellbent on destroying Bully Lei, but then he discovers that the mastermind behind the evil deeds is actually Bully Lei’s butler, Liu Kun Shan. Meanwhile, Liu Yin realizes Bully Lei is not as bad as he is rumored to be. Liu Kun Shan is also working with the Japanese in an attempt to bring back monarchy. To defeat Liu Kun Shan and win back the heart of his love, Zhang Xian must pull out his ultimate magic trick.
